Chief Master Sergeant WAYNE T. SHARP

CMSgt Wayne T. Sharp serves as the Command Chief for the 5th Bomb Wing, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. He is the primary advisor to the Bomb Wing Commander on matters of readiness, professional development, health, welfare, discipline, quality of life, and force utilization. He ensures the wing’s Airmen are combat ready in support of B-52 bombers, providing long-range strike capability for combatant operations worldwide.

Additionally, he is the host Wing Command Chief supporting over 12,000 active-duty Airmen, families, and civilian personnel at the nation’s only installation housing two legs of the nuclear triad.

Chief Sharp entered the Air Force in February 1998. He graduated from the Security Forces Law Enforcement Apprentice Course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas in June 1998. His background includes various duties in Security Forces including Force Protection Airborne Surveillance Systems and Ground Combat Training Instructor at Silver Flag Alpha, Creech Air Force Base, Nevada. His assignments include bases in Missouri, South Korea, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Texas. He has also deployed in support of Operation ALLIED FORCE, Operations SOUTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM.

 

Prior to this assignment, he served as the Command Chief, 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.
