Chief Master Sergeant BECKY S. THOMAS

CMSgt Becky S. Thomas is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for Air Force Global Strike Command’s 91st Missile Wing, Minot Air Force Base (AFB), N.D. As the senior enlisted leader, she represents more than 1,800 personnel assigned to operate, secure and maintain 150 Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles, spread across 8,500 square miles of Northwest North Dakota.  Chief Thomas helps shape and advocates the wing commander’s organizational goals, objectives and policies to the enlisted corps. She ensures adherence to standards enabling the delivery of a combat-ready nuclear force with a team of highly disciplined, lethal Airmen, committed to excellence, supporting the President of the United States and his Combatant Commanders. The chief also ensures mission readiness by focusing on effective utilization, qualification training, professional development, morale, welfare and quality of life issues for the wing’s Airmen and their families.

Chief Thomas hails from Pensacola, Florida where she entered the Air Force in May of 1999 and completed Public Health Apprenticeship in October later that year. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of developmental positions to include serving as a Noncommissioned Officer Academy Professional Military Education Instructor, a long-term interim First Sergeant, and as a Program Manager for the Chief of Staff of the Air Force’s Task Force True North Program. She had deployed in direct support of Operations ENDURING, IRAQI FREEDOM and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL-JUNIPER SHIELD. Prior to her current position, the chief served as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 86th Medical Group, Ramstein Air Base, Germany where she mobilized for a deployment as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 409th Air Expeditionary Group, Republic of Niger.
