7/5/2007 - MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The Minot Airman who died in the July 3 single-vehicle accident has been identified.

Senior Airman Adam Barrs, 20, a communications navigation mission systems journeyman, was assigned to the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron where he was responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting communication and navigation mission systems on B-52H Stratofortresses.

"Airman Barrs was a bright, hardworking and dedicated Airman," said Col. Bruce C. Emig, 5th Bomb Wing commander. "We are all saddened by this loss, and our base community will keep his family, friends and coworkers in our thoughts and prayers."

Airman Barrs, a native of South Sioux City, Neb., enlisted in the Air Force in May 2004 and was assigned to Minot Air Force Base in February 2005.
