Polar Plunge 2014 Published Jan. 28, 2014 By Public Affairs Office Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Airmen, alongside members of the Minot local community, team up for the Polar Plunge event held outside of the Sleep Inn in Minot, Jan. 18, 2014. The event gives people the opportunity to dress in costumes and jump into a tank of frigid water in the infamous Minot winter weather. Not only does the event serve as entertainment for the community, but it also raises awareness and funds for Special Olympics North Dakota. This year, the event earned close to $4,000 from its 25 plungers.
