Airmen from the 791st Security Forces Squadron await daily weapons issue and turn-in at the 5th Security Forces Armory at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., September 18, 2015. Each Airman has a weapon assigned which they are responsible for.  Airmen use a cleaner, lubricant, protectant chemical, brushes, and cloth wipes to remove carbon fouling cause by firing their weapons.  If weapons systems are not cleaned regularly, dirt, sand or carbon buildup may keep the magazine from feeding or cause the weapon to malfunction. Security Forces Airmen are required to check their weapons in and out at the Armory daily.
