Team Minot Passport Fair

Representatives from the U.S. Department of State will beat the Minot Air Force Base Post Office to accept regular/tourist passport applications Monday, July 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Adults would receive 10 year passports, and children would receive 5 year passports. 

Please bring the following items with you:

1. Passport application
2. Identification (military ID, driver license)
3. Photocopy of the identification
4. Proof of citizenship (U.S. birth certificate, naturalization certificate, previous U.S. passport)
5. Photocopy of the proof of citizenship
6. Passport photo
7. Payment - check or money order only (note: money orders can be purchased from the Post Office)
8. For children's applications, the child must be present and both parents (if only one parent can attend, he/she can bring a notarized DS-3053 form completed by the other parent)

Passport application: Complete the appropriate passport application – fill out the forms online and then print them out at this webpage: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/requirements/forms.html.  For adults who are renewing their 10 year passport, you may be eligible to use the DS-82 Form.  For first time applicants, for children, and for any adult who had a passport but are not eligible for the DS-82 form, use the DS-11 form. 

Passport photo: There will be a photographer on site to take passport photos and they will charge $15 for the photo.  You can also bring your own photo, but must ensure that the photo meets the strict requirements: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/requirements/photos.html. 

Payment: You must pay with a check or a money order.  You can purchase a money order from the Post Office (though they will be closed from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM for lunch).  The processing time for the applications will be up to six (6) weeks.  Here are the fees:

• DS-11 for applicants age 16 and older:
  • Passport Book: $145
  • Passport Card: $65
  • Passport Book & Card: $175
• DS-82 for adult applicants who qualify:
  • Passport Book: $110
  • Passport Card: $30
  • Passport Book & Card: $140
• DS-11 for applicants under age 16:
  • Passport Book: $115
  • Passport Card: $50
  • Passport Book & Card: $130
• $60 additional fee for expedited service (up to 3 weeks processing time)
• $16.48 additional fee to have each passport book returned by express mail
