Open Houses & Air Shows

Minot Air Force Base hosts open houses to enhance the public awareness of Air Force preparedness, to demonstrate modern weapon systems and capabilities, to promote positive community and international relations, to showcase our Airmen and to support Air Force recruiting and retention. Opening Air Force bases to the public provides opportunities for education and generates interest in the military and its role in national security. The term "open house" identifies a traditional activity held on military installations and may or may not include an airshow. The use of the term "open house" is not intended to specify or dictate any predetermined level of access to military installations. An Air Force open house is a community relations activity, which should generally highlight the mission, resources and personnel of the host base.

Information

Minot Air Force Base will be hosting the Northern Neighbors Day 2016 Airshow on August 13, 2016! Acts include the F-16 Demonstration Team, Heritage Flight, the Army Golden Knights, a B-52 flyover, civilian performers, Warbirds, a jet truck and many more flyovers!

Gates will open at 9 a.m. Saturday morning with the airshow starting at noon.

We will have military working dog demonstrations and showcase the 91st Missile Wing as well!

Come join us for Minot's first airshow in seven years!

For planning purposes, there will be no pets or coolers allowed. More information to follow.
