The Combined Federal Campaign at Minot Air Force Base fulfilled its contact and monetary goals Nov. 15.

Team Minot raised more than the $111,700 goal for charitable organizations sponsored by the CFC, totaling more than $136,000.

"Team Minot has once again put forth a phenomenal effort," said Col. Eldon Woodie, 5th Bomb Wing commander. "Not only did Team Minot meet its goal, we exceeded it. This display of generosity is another testament of the kind of Airmen we have here."

The CFC, which began here Oct. 1, helps charitable organizations worldwide. In 2005, federal employees around the world raised more than $268 million for charitable causes.

"Local organizations will be able to continue the good work they provide our community," said Maj. Ramil Ascano, CFC alternate base project officer. "It's giving like this that strengthens our country."

According to Major Ascano, the goal was met due to a combined effort by both wings and military and civilian members. Overall, the base exceeded the 2006 goal by almost $25,000.
