MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Team Minot recognizes their newest Senior Master Sergeant selects. Please congratulate these outstanding individuals on this especially important milestone in their Air Force Careers. 24 of 166 eligible promotees were selected at a rate of 14.4 percent here. 5th MXS' Repair and Reclamation section
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The 5th Maintenance Squadron's repair and reclamation section has 34 military and civilian technicians who support the 5th Operations Group and 5th Maintenance Group. The section has four areas of responsibility: repair and reclamation, crash damaged or disabled aircraft recovery, wheel and tire, and transient alert. The repair and reclamation section maintains flight control surfaces and systems, landing gear, actuated doors and associated equipment on Air Force Global Strike Command's B-52H Stratofortress fleet. The technicians attend specialized training to maintain their systems. Crash damaged or disabled aircraft recovery is responsible to removing and recovering damaged or disabled aircraft as a result of in-flight or ground mishaps. They maintain specialized equipment such as hoists, lifting bags and vehicles to facilitate aircraft recovery. Wheel and tire manages build-up, repair and storage of fleet wheel and tires assemblies.
