Minot medics win Air Force Team Excellence Award
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz recently awarded a team of Minot AFB medics with the 2011 Air Force Team Excellence Award, as well as the Air Force Best Practice Award. The team of medics was presented the award for their ingenuity in creating a high-tech reporting system which allowed the Air Force to better define health risks and personnel exposures for both deployed and in-garrison forces. Voicing awareness on domestic violence
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Domestic violence has been a continual problem all across the country and it is a problem which entails harming or endangering the health and life of someone, typically done by an intentional behavior of another family member. The month of October recognizes Domestic Violence and it is important for Team Minot members to reflect on the meaning of it and understand it is a social problem that should be acknowledged beyond just one month. Thrift Shop continues support for community
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- One organization that has been dedicated to raising money for charitable causes is the Officers’ Spouses’ Club. One of the club’s projects has been the administration of the base thrift shop. Currently, all proceeds from the thrift shop are directed towards the OSC, which then provides contributions to charities including Operation Warmheart, Air Force Village, Minot Music Boosters and Minot AFB Youth Center, among others.
