8/8/2012 - B-52H Stratofortress Crew Chiefs at Minot Air Force Base are responsible for the maintenance performed on 28 assigned B-52 aircraft valued at over $1.96 billion. They perform inspections, launch and recover aircraft, refuel aircraft, along with numerous other maintenance tasks to provide fully mission capable B-52s in support of our conventional and nuclear presence. In fiscal year 2011 their efforts contributed to 900 training sorties and over 6,400 flying hours. Furthermore, they maintain the Continuous Bomber Presence while deployed to Anderson AFB, Guam.
