7/20/2012 - Major Caleb Honsinger, 5th Operations Support Squadron, has exemplified the 5th Bomb Wing Commander’s vision of mission ownership. Honsinger was awarded the “Own It Award” for his work with the Weapon System Evaluation Program and the Stratcom Exercise. Honsinger covered critical responsibilities essential to the Air Force’s strategic deterrence mission. These responsibilities included planning the execution of four Air Launched Cruise Missiles (ALCMs) and three AGM-86B test launches. The WSEP evaluates weapon system reliability and is cornerstone to ALCM sustainment and our country's strategic deterrence. The STRATEX evaluates Command and Control systems for the President of the United States. By stepping up and “owning” these projects, Honsinger ensured the 5 BW was ready to execute its deterrence mission and contributed to a successful month for the Wing.
