6/20/2012 - The 5th Maintenance Squadron Inspection Section conducts the 450 and 900 hour phase inspections on the B-52H Stratofortress aircraft at Minot AFB. These inspections are extremely in-depth and average 18 days to complete. Every completed inspection adds another 450 hours to the 5th Bomb Wing flying hour program. Averaging 12 aircraft per year, the 5th Maintenance Squadron Phase Inspection section provides 5,400 flying hours to the 5th BW. (Photo Submission/Staff Sgt. Carmen Washington)
