Packing parachutes, saving lives 5th OSS: packing parachutes, saving lives
Airmen from the 5th Operations Support Squadron parachute shop pack back-automatic and drag parachutes at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. The aircrew flight equipment flight is responsible for maintaining and inspecting all life-saving equipment on the B-52H Stratofortress prior to each mission, and are on-duty for each take-off and landing to correct any potential aircrew-related equipment issues. Alex Kroll and Mr. Robert Seekings, 5th Operations Support Squadron Weapons System Trainer Mission Planning Cell team members, accept the 5th Bomb Wing “Own It Award” at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., July 12, 2016. Kroll and Seekings were awarded for recognizing a critical MPC gap in Secret Internet Protocol Router Network capability and creating a stand-alone MPC function.
