Capt. Tarina Crook is an Air Force Academy graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Legal Studies. Upon graduating she spent a year traveling the country to assist the Air Force Academy with diversity recruiting before joining the missileer family. Crook is currently working on her Masters degree in social work, she has a 4.0 gpa while interning over 320 hours at a women's shelter in Minot. She has recently been induced into the National Honor Society for social work.

Crook is passionate about her job. She says she feels like she is part of a giant Air Force family all around the world and feels a sense of love enveloping her when she puts on her uniform. Crook is passionate about diversity and championing progress for women. She feels empowered at work as a crew commander to grow and mentor the newer generation of missileers. Crook enjoys teaching and is excited to take on her new role as an instructor in the near future.

Crook thinks one of the most important aspects of her job as an officer and as a soon to be social worker is changing the narrative of people's lives who are disenfranchised, marginalized and underrepresented. She wants other girls to know they too can pursue their dreams and pave the way for others. Crook says she is humbled, awed and inspired by the other women she works with of all ranks. She says “when one woman wins, all women win.”
